Why A Wedding Video?

That's me with my camera on a rock!

The question I get asked most is: Why should I have a wedding video? It’s a fair question. You don’t need one to get married, and let’s be honest - you’re likely already investing a lot in those stunning photos.

Here’s the thing: your wedding will be amazing with or without a video. But that’s exactly the point. Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime day, why wouldn’t you want to capture it in motion?

Video exists in perfect harmony with photography, not in competition with it. Photos are designed to be framed, printed, and set as your phone background. They are timeless. But video does something photos were never meant to do: it captures the way you move, the crackle in your voice during vows, the roar of the crowd, and your parents’ raw reactions when they first see you.

As a filmmaker, I’ll admit I’m biased. But I don’t think 'you' twenty years from now would disagree. It’s hard to imagine a couple two decades down the road wishing they couldn't watch a beautifully curated film of their story.

I never know exactly how I’ll edit a film until the day begins. I arrive, I watch, and I capture the unique energy of your celebration. Every wedding feels different - because they are!

You only get one chance to capture this. If you’re on the fence, my advice is to book a filmmaker. If it’s not me, I can point you toward some other incredible creators (though, for the record, I’d love it to be me).

Let’s grab a coffee and chat about your day.
