Getting married in or near the ACT? You’ve picked a winner. Canberra is honestly such an underrated gem for weddings - you’ve got that mix of sleek, modern "capital city" vibes, world-class galleries, and then, literally just ten minutes away you walk into stunning rolling hills and rustic farmhouses.
If you’re hunting for the perfect spot, I’ve rounded up 30 incredible venues in and around the ACT to get your mood board started.

Old Parliament House: Pure prestige. With the Rose Gardens for vows and historic wood-paneled rooms for the party, it's a timeless choice.
Hyatt Hotel Canberra: The pinnacle of old-school luxury. Those heritage courtyards are the most famous spot in town for classic wedding photos.
The Boat House: A lakeside institution. Known for flawless service and a front-row seat to the Carillon.
Hotel Kurrajong: For the Gatsby lovers. A beautiful blend of Art Deco history and a gorgeous garden courtyard.
Brassey Gardens: Boasting impeccable gardens, beautiful architecture and heart of Canberra convenience, this one's hard to beat.

The ceremony view at Brassey Gardens from Brassey Hotel in Barton, ACT Midnight Hotel: Located in the heart of Braddon. It’s moody, sleek, and perfect for an inner-city cocktail celebration.
Ovolo Nishi: Quirky and artsy. If you want your wedding to feel like a stay at a boutique gallery, this is it.
Red Shed: A newer favorite on Black Mountain Peninsula. It offers a modern-industrial aesthetic right on the water’s edge.
Hotel Realm: Perfect for a sophisticated reception with the ability to cater for huge numbers.
National Gallery: If iconic Canberra landmarks is your thing, this one is a no brainer. Beautiful lake views all around.
The Fitters Workshop: The ultimate blank canvas. A raw, industrial brick space in Kingston for the couple who wants to DIY their dream.
The Marion: Elegance on the water. It’s light, airy, and offers that high-end "lakeside chic" that feels very current.

The ceremony view at The Marion in Parkes, ACT Royal Canberra Golf Club: Tucked away in Yarralumla. It’s sophisticated and feels like a private forest getaway without leaving the city.
Pialligo Estate: The comeback king. Think gorgeous orchards, vineyards, and incredible food just minutes from the CBD.
Beltana Farm: The hot new player in Pialligo. Modern timber architecture meets a working truffle farm - very high-end.

Ginninderry Homestead: A stately English-manor vibe with manicured gardens. It’s been a top-tier choice for private weddings for years.
Tuggeranong Homestead: A hidden heritage gem. It’s unpretentious, rustic, and full of country character on 70 sprawling acres.
The National Arboretum (including Margaret Whitlam Pavilion): The gold standard for views. Use the Pavilion for a sharp, architectural ceremony and the Village Centre for a massive reception.

Petrichor Farm: Located just past Gundaroo. An old woolshed turned luxury rustic venue with some of the best sunset views in the region.
Gold Creek Station: Think big heritage sheds and a relaxed, candle lit authentic atmosphere.
The Manor at Gold Creek: That famous ivy-covered stone building that feels like a trip to an English village.

Grazing at Gundaroo: A restored 1865 inn. It is the heart of the local foodie wedding scene for a reason.
Brindabella Hills Winery: Located on a ridge with arguably the most dramatic vineyard views in the ACT.
Westering at Lake George Winery: Modern, light-filled, and overlooks the iconic (and occasionally full!) Lake George.

Also, if you want to be ahead of the curve (my guess is 2027), keep an eye on Deacon Manor in Wamboin. It is set to be the region’s newest luxury private estate. It’s bringing a high-end European aesthetic (think grand entrances and exclusive estate vibes) that is perfect for the couple who wants a venue that feels like a private residence.
